How do I make sense out of all this information I'm collecting?

Our cyber security efforts have never been more important than they are today as the ongoing threats by hate groups have matured from physical violence to electronic means of mass destruction. Technology breeds technology, so we find ourselves in a life-or-death race to find any hint of information that enables our law enforcement agencies to stop the bad guys. We have terabytes of information passing over the internet hourly and we are experiencing information overload. Every day the bad guys are using the internet to communicate hate-group activity and plans. They use blogs, chat, IM, Social Networking, email, and other electronic tools to recruit new members, operate, and communicate plans to a dispersed organization. Current document and content management systems are inadequate to handle the volume of electronic data created daily. Information retrieval no longer yields to simple searches. At the heart of our research is the application of natural language methods to help users find, analyze, organize and categorize information in databases, repositories and growing web information stores. Our Deception Detection Engine (DDE) automatically collects the data, analyzes it, and returns reports based on the following Open Source Intelligence (OSINT):  

• Topic Detection - Ability to scan large amounts of data and determine a specific domain relationship
• Deception Detection - Process large amounts of information using filters, machine learning, linguistic analysis, and accurately identify deceptive content
• Camouflaged Messages - Detecting coded messages in normal-looking text
• Author Verification - Identify a deceiver assuming a false identity and writing under an assumed personality
• Sophisticated Messaging - Detect intentional misdirection (deception) in text without access to context-sensitive information
